Robert Lewandowski has extends his stay with Bayern Munich that will keep him until 2021.
Bayern Munich forward who recently mocks the Ballon d'Or award after finishing 16th in the 30 lists.
Lewandowski has scored 19 goals in all competitions this term, and while his contract had two years left to run, Bayern had been keen to hand him an improved deal, to keep him away from potentially interested parties.
The player's representatives also believed he was due a pay rise, from £8.5million-a-year to join the club's top earners on around £13million, having top scored in the Bundesliga with 30 goals last season.
"I am very pleased that the negotiations have led to a positive result and that I will remain at FC Bayern," declared Lewandowski, after Bayern announced his new deal. "Together we still have great goals [to achieve]. "
"I am delighted that we were able to tie one of the world's best to the club in the long-term with Robert Lewandowski," said CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
"This ensures that another member of our team will be wearing the jersey of FC Bayern in the coming years."
