Cristiano Ronaldo again was the hero Madrid depended on to delivers at a moment when things look difficult as Real Madrid won the Club world Cup (CWC) 4 - 2 against Japanese side Kashima Antlers on Sunday in Yokohama.
Ronaldo scored a hat-trick added to Benzema first goal to rapped-up the win for Real Madrid for the second time in three years. Madrid score within the first 10 mins after dominating for long period in the first half but just before half time, Shibasaki pounced on the loose ball to equalize for Kashima Antlers in the 44 mins.
At the second half, 52nd minute of the game, Shibasaki score his brace on the night to give his team the lead but only lasted 7 minutes Real Madrid levelled scores after Lucas Vazquez was brought down in the box and Cristiano Ronaldo converted from the spot to take the game to extra-time.
The Ballon d'Or winner again stood out above the rest and made the difference by scoring two goals in the 98th and 104th minutes of the extra-time which led Real Madrid to complete a remarkable year 2016.
Ronaldo recieved the Club World Cup 2016 Golden Ball, Luka Modric won Silver Ball and the Japanese plyaer Shibasaki won Bronze Ball. Ronaldo said "It has been a dream year, really great. I didn't think it would end like this: winning the final, scoring three goals and helping Real Madrid".

Real Madrid are now the team with the most intercontinental titles in history, having won five titles which include the current Club World Cup and the Intercontinental Cup. They lead Milan who has four with other teams that has three each such as Penarol, Boca Junior, Barcelona, Club Nacional de Football (from Montevideo), Sao Paulo, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich.
