Brazil lost 1- 0 to Peru to exit the tournament at the group stage for the first time in nearly 30 years of which last time both met that ended in defeat for Brazil was in 1985.

Dunga's team that needed just a draw to qualify for quarter-finals with 15 minutes left then a dramatic turn-around from Peru in controversial circumstances after claimed the ball in off Raul Ruidiaz's hand in the 75th-minute at Foxborough Stadium in Massachusetts, USA.
