News Unfolds: Frank De Boer Sacked And Roy Hodgson To Take Charge

Frank de Boer, 47, has been sacked as Crystal Palace manager 10 weeks (five games and 77 days in charge) since the Dutchman succeeding Sam Allardyce that left the post last season ending after avoiding relegation with Crystal Palace.

His team Crystal Palace played four games in the EPL without a win and a goal conceding seven goals in the process. The Selhurst Park stadium had only saw their team scoring twice in a home win over Ipswich Town in Carabao Cup score ended 2 - 1. They lost to Huddersfield at home on opening day 0 - 3, Liverpool 1 - 0 away, to Swansea at Selhurst Park 2 - 0 and 1 - 0 away to Burnley; making his team to be the first side in 93 years to have such defeats in the Premier League.

Roy Hodgson, 70, is set to take over in the next 24-hours after former Boss Sam Allardyce distance himself from the post.

The former Ajax boss, Frank De Boer’s reign is the shortest in the top flight of the Premier League era. Les Reed had seven games in charge of Charlton in 2006.
