Southampton were beaten by Manchester United in last year's Wembley final and now failed to return to the League Cup after a shock 2 - 0 defeat against Wolves last night ends their mission second round.
The 2017/18 League Cup is sponsored by Carabao, a Thai brand, will see seven Premier League sides to join the draw at this stage after Premier League returnee, Newcastle United also lost at home to Nottingham Forest 3 - 2.
