2017-2018 Champions League Group Stage So Far..

Teams that will be in the Group Stage for 2017-2018 UEFA Champions League for different countries across Europe are known as the local league (domestic league) wind-off at the end of May and some has even be crown champions already while others are gearing-up for the second place or third position to be guarantee a place in the group or through a play-off.


For Manchester United and Ajax can add to the number of their respective coutries by winning this Year Europa which final comes up in Sweden next week.

So far so good, we the below list for 2017-2018 UEFA Champions League Group Stage:

England: Chelsea (Champions), Tottenham Hotspur
            Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal are still in a battle for Third and Fourth Place while the 4th-place team go through play-off to assure of group stage. Manchester United can be straight to group Stage by winning Europa next week.

Spain: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid
           Sevilla will have to negotiate a play-off to be in group stage
Germany: Bayern Munich (Champions), RB Leipzig
         Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim are fighting for 3rd & 4th position. 4th-placed team via play-off

Italy: Juventus.Roma and Napoli to do battle for 2nd & 3rd position. 3rd come via play-off
France: Monaco (Champions), PSG while Nice in 3rd position has to go via play-off

Portugal: Benfica, Porto while 3rd placed Sporting CP will go through play-off



Russia: Spartak Moscow (Champions), 2nd placed CSKA Moscow will go through play-off

Ukraine: Shakhtar Donetsk (Champions), 2nd placed Dynamo Kyiv will go through play-off
Switzerland: Basel (Champions), 2nd placed Young Boys will go through play-off

Holland: Feyenoord (Champions), Ajax has two way to come through, win Europa or play-off as 2nd

About ten group stage slots will be decided through qualifying in the summer – and the winners of this season's competition and the UEFA Europa League will also have an impact – with these 21 teams would, as it stands, be assured of a UEFA Champions League place next term. 

This is based on the UEFA association club coefficient rankins as of the end of 2015-2016 while A new system of qualification for the club competition will begin for the 2018-2019 season with the top four nations (Spain, England, Germany and Italy) each will receive four automatic UEFA Champions League group stage places.
