Samuel Eto'o continues his professional football in Europe with 11th different clubs after joining Russian Premier League side Amkar on a short term despite growing list of players moving to China for greener pastures.
The 35-year-old joins for an undisclosed fee from Antalyaspor, bringing an end to an 18-month spell with the Turkish club for the second time Eto'o has played in the Russian top flight after his three-year spell with Anzhi Makhachkala between 2011 and 2014, where he was a star attraction for a side backed by Oligarch Suleyman Kerimov.
The Cameroonian begins his career from the youth academy of Real Madrid before loan twice to gain experience within the Spanish teams. Eto'o who paid tribute to Marc-Vvien Foe who collapsed and passed on in the 73rd minute during FIFA Confederations Cup semi-final between Cameroon and Colombia in France 2003, will wear jersey number 36 for Amkar in Russia.
Eto'o journeyman career has seen him collect three La Liga titles, one Serie A title and three Champions League winners medals.
On the international scene, he won two Africa Cup of Nations and an Olympic gold medal in a hugely successful career for Cameroon and is rightly considered a legend in his home country. His most recently time in Premier League is with Everton, where he score four times before joining Serie A side Sampdoria in 2015 but also experienced a semi-successful spell with Chelsea in the 2013/14 campaign, scoring 12 goals in 35 appearances under Jose Mourinho.
He scored 26 goals for Antalyaspor in 47 appearances for the Turkish club and even enjoyed a spell as interim player-manager last year after joining them within six months of joining Sampdoria.
