Manchester United Is The Richest Club In The world

Manchester United have top the world's highest grossing club in the just concluded season 2016/2016 on the edition of Deloitte's Football Money League for the first time since 2003/2004 with a strong growth in excess of the average of 12% (record).

The study on the 20th annual check on the finances of the world's top clubs placed the Old Trafford club on top ahead of Barcelona and Real Madrid. The Red Devil got 10 per cent more than the second-placed Barcelona and Madrid which are about £100,000 less in value to Barcelona. Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are in fourth, fifth and sixth respectively. It will recalled that PSG earned more revenue growth than any club before now, United have recorded the highest commercial revenue growth of £71m now than any club in the world with Adidas and Chevrolet.

Juventus are in tenth position, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool completes in top 10 placed in that order and are unchanged over a-12-month ago. Borussia Dortmund are in Eleventh position outside top 10. English Premier League Champions profited from the victory and UEFA Champion League qualifications to break into the top 20 and West Ham as well making entrance at position Eighteenth in the top.



According to Dan Jones, Partner in Sports Business Group at Deloitte commended United, he said: "Manchester United have had to wait 11 years to regain their position as the world's leading revenue-generating club and it has taken phenomenal commercial revenue growth to help them achieve this. 

"In recent years, their ability to secure commercial partnerships with value in excess of that, achievable by their peers has been the crucial factor in enabling the club to regain their place at the top of the Money League."

Manchester United are also ahead of others in terms of revenue generated on matchday income value £102.8m and got broadcast revenue of £140.4m which is ranked seventh position in the world. Real Madrid is ranked top in broadcast revenue with a huge value of £170.3m, Manchester City are in second place with revenue value of £161.4m.
