Arsenal's Keeper Petr Cech Honoured with Guinness World Records Book

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech was honoured in the new edition of the Guinness World Record Book 2017 for wonderful saves as he kept 181 Premier League clean sheets - the most of any goalkeeper.


Cech were among the stars of the sporting world honoured in the new edition of the Guinness World Records Book after also winning the English Premier League Best Goalkeeper for his superior clean sheet ahead Manchester United's David De'Gea in 2015-2016 season.

Gareth Barry of Everton also got honoured for starting the Premier League most than any player ever with an incredible 580 to date during time across the clubs he played for such as Aston Villa, Manchester City and presently Everton.

Both players were presented with plaques by the Guinness team, posing for photos with their awards. 



There are plenty of other sports stars honoured in the new 2017 edition, which is available to buy now, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Novak Djokovic. There is also a place for reigning Premier League champions Leicester City, who have the largest rise in position in the Premier League. They rose 13 places from 14th to 1st to win the title last season, against 5,000-1 odds with many bookmakers around the world.

Ronaldo is the most followed athlete on Twitter, with an amazing 47.4million as of midnight on October 12.

Djokovic cleaned up on the tennis circuit last year, picking up a world record for the most prize money won in a season - a humongous £14,600,200 in 2015.

Carli Lloyd, the current Best Female World Footballer of the Year was also honoured for her incredible records in the game with Most goals in a FIFA Women's World Cup final – 3 v Japan in July 2015. Fastest goal in a FIFA Women's World Cup final – 3 minutes. Oldest goal-scorer in a FIFA Women's World Cup final – 32 years and 354 days old
