Andy Murray Won the Wimbledon 2016

Andy Murray won the Wimbledon title for the second time after defeating Canadian Milos Raonic in straight sets 6-4, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (2) in men's single on Sunday to becomes the first British player that has won Wimbledon more than once since Fred Perry, whose statue is on the grounds here at the All England Club, won three straight singles titles from 1934 - 1936.

Murray kisses the trophy.

Murray speaking after the victory, he said: "last time it was just pure relief and I didn't really enjoy the moment as much, whereas I'm going to make sure I enjoy this one more."

Murray's deep and undisguised internal drive has been as important to his success as his foot speed and phenomenal ball-striking talent. He was seeded No. 2 for this year.

He first won the title in 2013 after losing the final to Roger Federer in 2012. He says: "I've had some great moments here and also some tough losses. And obviously the wins feel extra special because of the tough losses."
