Manchester United welcomes neighbour Manchester City this Saturday September 10 2016 in the Premier League clash and this will be the clubs' 20th Premier League derby.
Tagged 'Mou vs Pep' in this 20th meeting since the league changed to Premier League. The last time both club met was in November 2015, the game ends 0 - 0 at Old Trafford, which was the first time the derby had ended without any goals since 2010. Though, Jesse Lingard hit the top cross bar that evening was the major highlight.
Old time friends, games' planner & foes
The two sides has memorable derbies in-between since inception of Premier League in 1992 in terms of goals, red cards, victories, frustrations etc. That's while people termed the 'MANCHESTER DERBY' as the GREATEST DERBY of derbies.
Down memory lanes at Old Trafford:
First Premier League derby at OT
Paul Ince and Mark Hughes ensured United’s first home Premier League match against City in 1992 was a victorious one. Niall Quinn may have scored late in the second half for the Blues, but it was to prove only scant consolation as Alex Ferguson’s men continued to march towards the inaugural Premier League title.
Unforgetable fans for both sides
Top scorer in home meetings
Three goals is the highest number scored by a United player at Old Trafford against City in the Premier League, with a quartet of rather illustrious names sharing the title. The players in question are Andrei Kanchelskis, Eric Cantona, Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney, with the latter being the only man still able to set a new benchmark of four or more.

Seeing Red
The Manchester derby is always set to the backdrop of high tension, so it’s little wonder we’ve seen some dismissals down the years. There have been three, in fact, with Roy Keane, Alan Smith and Jonny Evans all given their marching orders in Premier League derbies at Old Trafford.
Most Memorable
It’ll be difficult to ever surpass the nerve-shredding drama and excitement that occurred in the first derby of the 2009/10 season, when Michael Owen’s 96th-minute strike sealed an incredible 4-3 win for the Reds. However, the favourite of many fans will be the emphatic 5-0 victory in November 1994, on a Thursday evening when United’s dominance of Manchester was there for all to see.
Acrobatic Rooney's winning goal
Not forgetting the bashing of United at Old Trafford by City 6 - 1 on 23 October 2011, which incidentally was Manchester United first defeat of the season and also the biggest defeat suffered against Manchester City at Old Trafford since the 5 - 0 loss in 1955. Jonny Evans was sent off in the 47th minutes after fouling Mario Balotelli with City leading 1 - 0, then United pulled a goal back at 3 - 0 before City turned the game around and sealed the victory by adding three goals later on.
Total attendance
More than one million fans have attended Manchester derbies at Old Trafford since the Premier League’s inception in 1992. The overall figure currently stands at 1,252,252.

The Biggest Wins
To this day, the biggest victories have been to Manchester City who have won 6 - 1 on two occasions in the official league (both at Old Trafford) on 23rd January 1926 and most recently 23rd October 2011. Manchester United beat Manchester City 7 - 1 at Maine Road, home of City 14th April 1941, which is the biggest between the two clubs.
