The multiple world record holder and six-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt has to withdraw from his country's  Olympic trial earlier this month with a hamstring injury but was allowed to be on the team list heading to the summer Olympic game after applying for a medical exemption.

Bolt is not the only one with exemption from the Jamaica's delegates, four other athletes were included after receiving medical exemptions including 110m hurdles bronze medalist Hansle Parchment. Jamaica allows medical exemptions when in terms of selection policy for athletes.
