EURO 2016 ROUND-16 DRAMA, Iceland in Dreamland as Italy Revenged!

With the last match for the Round of 16 played yesterday night, the coast has been cleared as to who's playing in the quarter-final. There are only eight team left now to battle for the glory in Euro 2016 taking place in France.

The round of 16 was exciting for some and dream comes through likewise revenged took place even as the so-called giant and favourite teams sweat it out and some enjoys the drive to quarter-final. To start with, England were humiliated by Iceland in this round defeating the Roy Hodgson's team 2 - 1 to qualify to next round (quarter-final) for the first time in their history. Iceland has being in the dreamland since the group stage coming second position to Hungary in their debut tournament in a group that has Criatiano Ronaldo's Portugal came through as one of the best third teams.

Italy has the sweet revenge against one of the favoutires, Spain in this round. Italy who lost in finals to Spain last edition smashed 2- 0 past the defending Champions in what it's termed repeat of the finals four years ago.

Wales won the battle of British against Northern Ireland 1- 0 when a Gareth Bale shot was deflected in by McAuley. Portugal defeated Croatia 1- 0 in second half of extra-time Ronaldo shot was saved by Danijel Subasic only for Ricardo Quaresma nod home a simple close-range to put Portugal in quarter-final. Ricardo Quaresma is the third Portugal player in Euro history to score two goals as a substitute.

France has to come back from a goal down to defeated Ireland 2 - 1 with another second half magics from Griezmann. The only match ended via penalty shoot-out was Poland and Switzerland after playing 1 - 1 in 90' min plus extra-time. Poland drives to quarter-final defeating Swiss 5 - 4 to end the encounters. Germany speaks of their qualities with 3 - 0 against Slovakia and Belgium won bigger among all at this stage with 4 - 0 against Hungary. Full details below.
